I am an Assistant Professor of Strategic Communication at the Diederich College of Communication, Marquette University, where I am also on the interdisciplinary data science faculty and serve as affiliated faculty at Northwestern Mutual Data Science Institute. At Marquette, I direct the Ai4Ai Lounge and teach classes in data analytics, social media strategies, and research methodology. My research areas include communication technology, online communities, and social networks, particularly in the context of crowdfunding. My research has won several top papers awards, including one from the International Communication Association (ICA). I have published in Human Communication Research, International Journal of Communication, Oxford Research Encyclopedia of Communication, and Telematics and Informatics.
